SUPPORTING OUR TROOPS
At Stand Beside Her.com we support our troops and veterans absolutely. In this spirit we will share stories with you honoring the men and women of the armed forces and provide resources on how to show your own support. Join us as we thank these fine men and women for their service and the sacrifices of them and their families.
Blue Star Service Banners:
Created in 1917, today they are still being displayed in homes
by families who have a loved one serving in one
of the armed forces. The banner reminds us that
preserving America's freedom demands much
from our soldiers and their families. Each blue
star represents one family member serving in the
armed forces and each banner can have up to
five stars.
Hugs for Soldiers:
Hugs for Soldiers supports our troops through Adopt a Soldier, sponsor
care packages, sending letters and cards.
America Supports You: a nationwide program from the Department of Defense, recognizes citizens' support for our military men and women and communicates that support to members of our Armed Forces at home and abroad. You can leave a message for troops, learn how to help, and much more!
United States Postal Service: visit here for addressing tips, mailing restrictions and packing tips.
The AdoptaPlatoon Soldier Support Effort™ founded in 1998 by volunteer mothers to ensure that deployed United States Service members in all branches of the military are not forgotten by providing needed mail support and to promote patriotism in our schools and communities.
USO: a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide morale, welfare and recreation-type services to our men and women in uniform. Sign up for their newsletter to find out what they are doing for the troops and how you can help.
Do you have a website or offline resource that helps support our
troops? Do you have a story of something your school or hometown
did to help? Please email us here and tell us about it!
